The past few rainy days have been a whirlwind for me on the work, family, friend and goal front, and with this edition of Loves of the Last Week, I feel like I’m starting to see the light at the end of this lockdown tunnel. But I promise to follow all the rules that France is setting out for us and to be careful in this new normal.
On Tuesday, the French PM laid out his ideas for the French Deconfinement Guidelines – aka the proper easing of lockdown restrictions for the country, and my friends and I have been rejoicing. Though we won’t know for sure until next week exactly what will happen, the thought of being able to enjoy the outdoors and physically be in the same place as my friends (though no cafés or restos yet) is truly saving my sanity. Come on, Paris – we can do this.
I joined SkillShare! I signed up for 2 free months of Premium classes and have really been enjoying the photography section so far.
PJ and I have been enjoying daily cappuccinos from Friday to Sunday. It’s the little things.
Remember Billy Blanks? His quarantine Tae Bo classes have been so fun, and much easier on my joints than the HIIT workouts that I’ve been doing for the last 6 weeks. I’m excited to try his new 30-minute session tomorrow morning. Just call me Tae Bo Suzi.
If you know me, you know my love of dinosaurs is real. And this National Geographic article about the (re)discovery of Spinosaurus fossils in Morocco had me on the edge of my seat.
I know I’m late to the game, but I just started watching Big Little Lies and I’ve already made it to Season 2 (available in France through the OCS channel on Amazon Prime!).
Online browsing is the easiest thing whenever I need to give my busy mind a break. I’m still in love with this BB Dakota blouse from my Post Lockdown Wishlist. Here’s hoping 11 May also lifts my guilty conscience so I can order this baby for future (socially distanced) brunches.
My B and I had a fun chat about where we’ll go for our belated 30th birthday trip. Decided destination? Portugal. My Pinterest is about to welcome a pretty new board…
And finally, yesterday, I officially joined my brother on a new fitness challenge. Through April, he ran 100k around London, and next month will bike 50k, rollerblade 50k, and run another 100. No, I won’t be joining him for all of that (got a bit of a bum leg for hardcore, long-distance impact cardio), but I have accepted the rollerblading portion of the challenge! I’ve done a bit of rolling around our neighbourhood so far, and this extra incentive will get me working on my fitness, too. 6.4K done last night, only 43.6K left!
